Hephzibah Children's Home
Transforming Lives
Hephzibah Children's Home is a residential childcare facility located in Macon, Georgia. We serve Christ by serving children of every race, color and creed. Teen boys and girls, young mothers and pregnant girls come to us from families in crisis. Many have experienced severe trauma, including sexual, physical and emotional abuse. Our desire is to provide a safe, nurturing and loving environment filled with spiritual nourishment.
Hephzibah was started in 1900 as a missionary outreach and continues with that vision until this day. Miss Bettie Tyler named the orphanage after reading her Bible and claimed Isaiah 62:4 "Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married." The Hebrew word, Hephzibah, is interpreted "my delight is in caring for children." This ministry depends on your prayers and support. On behalf of the children and young people that God has entrusted us with, thank you.
